When you see a dog in what you believe to be a hot car, follow these steps:

Steps to Report

1. Note Vehicle Details
• Make, model, color, and license plate number of the car.
• Location where the car is parked.
2. Describe the Dog
• Take note of what the dog is doing (e.g., panting, drooling, looking distressed).
3. Call Police Dispatch
• Dial 512-930-3510, then select Option 6 for animal control assistance.

Important Tip:

• Please avoid standing too close to the vehicle to prevent additional distress to the dog.
