Encountering a wild animal that appears to be injured or orphaned can be alarming, but it's important to respond appropriately to ensure both your safety and the well-being of the animal. The following resources and contacts can guide you through the correct steps to take.

If you think an animal is injured or you are sure it is orphaned, contact Animal Control.
Additionally, the local wildlife organization, All Things Wild Inc., offers valuable online resources with advice on how to properly handle various types of found animals.
