In Georgetown, state law mandates specific safety protocols whenever a dog, cat, or wildlife bite breaks the skin. These measures help protect our community by preventing the spread of rabies, a serious and potentially fatal disease.

What to Do If You Are Bitten:

  • If bitten by a dog, cat, or wildlife within city limits, contact the City of Georgetown Animal Control immediately.

  • Call: 512-930-3510, option 6

Our Animal Control Officers will:

  • Take your report

  • Guide you through the necessary next steps to ensure your safety and compliance with state regulations
