A protective order is a civil court order that can help protect people from family violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking.

How to Seek a Protective Order

Protective orders are issued by a court. If you are in immediate danger or an existing protective order has been violated, call 911 right away.

Williamson County residents may apply for a protective order through the Williamson County Protective Order Division.

For a non-emergency crime report or immediate safety concerns, contact local law enforcement:

  • Georgetown Police Department: 512-930-3510

  • Williamson County Sheriff's Office: 512-943-1300
