Library Volunteers
Georgetown Public Library has volunteer opportunities for:

Volunteer tasks commonly performed:
- Shelving materials: placing library materials on the shelves in alphabetical or Dewey Decimal order.
- Shelf reading: carefully looking through shelves and correcting any items out of order.
- Check In: mindfully observing the condition of returned books, checking items in and sorting them in their appropriate areas.
- Processing Materials: our Tech Services department utilizes the help of volunteers to process new materials by entering into the Library's collection.

Persons interested in volunteering at the library must complete a volunteer application, parental permission slip (teens only) and a library Skills Assessment (available online or at the circulation desk) and return to a staff member to begin the volunteer process.
