Filing a Damage Claim Involving the City

Overview

If you believe your property was damaged due to City operations or equipment, you can file a claim for review. The Georgetown Safety and Risk Team assists residents and businesses with this process.

How to File a Claim

  • Submit a Notice of Claim Form online through the City of Georgetown’s website

  • Include details such as the date, time, location, and description of the incident

  • Attach any supporting documentation, such as photos, repair estimates, or witness statements

  • Each claim is reviewed individually, and additional information may be requested during the investigation

Submitting a claim does not guarantee reimbursement. The city will assess each case to determine if compensation is appropriate.
