Proper disposal of medical sharps is essential to protect both yourself and the environment. 

1. Most pharmacies sell prepaid mail ready sharps containers that can hold up to 300 syringes for as little as $7. This is a great option that provides a cost-effective and safe solution to rid of your medical sharps.
   
   
2. Under Texas law, the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality states that you may dispose of your medical sharps in your household trash, utilizing a hard plastic or metal container with a tightly secured lid.  Do not place sharps directly into the trash without proper containment.
   

      3. We kindly ask that you refrain from taking your used sharps to the Fire Stations for disposal.
