Community Events That Support the Downtown Square
Overview
Georgetown’s Main Street Program helps preserve the beauty and history of the downtown Square while creating a fun and welcoming place for the community. Fundraising events and donations support downtown beautification, public art, and improvement projects.
Annual Events
Georgetown Swirl
Held each year on the first Saturday in March, the Georgetown Swirl features wine tastings, food, shopping, and live music around the Square. The event celebrates Georgetown’s growing food and wine culture while supporting downtown projects.
Blazin’ Beer Crawl
The Blazin’ Beer Crawl takes place on the first Saturday in August. Guests enjoy a self-paced walking event with craft beer tastings inside Downtown Georgetown stores and restaurants.
Coffee & Cocoa Crawl and Small Business Saturday
Held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, this holiday event invites visitors to enjoy coffee and cocoa tastings while shopping and supporting local small businesses downtown.
Collectible Ornament Series
The Georgetown Main Street Program offers a limited-edition ornament series featuring historic Georgetown buildings and landmarks. Ornament sales help support Main Street beautification and preservation projects.
