Information on Park Rangers

The Georgetown Police Department operates and supervises the Park Ranger program. The program is comprised of volunteers who are trained in local ordinances, communications, and inter-personal relations.
Park Rangers usually will be riding around our parks on a Kubota side by side (see pic).
They monitor the area and radio in if they see any criminal activity.
They have also given courtesy rides for people who can’t finish a walk on the trails or are over heated.
If you are interested in serving as a Park Ranger, call or email the Volunteer Services Center at 512-930-8457 or vips@georgetowntexas.gov.
