Vehicle Registration & Handicap Placards

Overview

Residents must register their vehicles and, if needed, apply for a disabled parking placard or license plate. These services are handled through Williamson County and the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV).

How to Register Your Vehicle

• All vehicle registrations are managed by the Williamson County Tax Assessor's Office.   Registration ensures your vehicle is legally recognized and up to date with state requirements.

How to Apply for a Handicap Placard or Plate

• Disabled parking placards and plates are issued by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV).  These provide convenient access to designated parking spaces for individuals with qualifying medical conditions.
