Overview
Customers who receive electric service from the City of Georgetown may request the installation of a security light on their property. Security lights are billed through the customer's utility account and are available for a flat monthly fee based on the selected light type.
Security Light Information
The City of Georgetown offers security lighting for customers with active City electric service. Security lights are installed on a pole located on the customer's property and provide additional outdoor lighting for homes, businesses, and other private property.
Customers are responsible for the monthly security light charge, which is added directly to their City utility bill. Rates vary depending on the type and wattage of the light selected.
To request a new security light installation, contact Utility Customer Care. Staff can provide information about available lighting options, installation requirements, and current rates.
