How do I report an Electric Outage?

Reporting a Power Outage

Not sure who your electric provider is? Need to report an outage?
Follow these simple steps to confirm your provider, check your breakers, view outage status, and report the issue.

Step 1: Confirm Your Electric Provider

Georgetown has multiple electric providers. Use the Electric Service Map to check your address.

To use the map:

  • Click the Layer List in the top-right corner
  • Select Utility Layers
  • Choose Electric Service Providers
  • Find your address on the map

If you are a Georgetown Electric Utility customer, continue to Step 2.

If you are an Oncor or PEC customer, use the links below to report your outage:

Step 2: Check Your Breakers

Before reporting an outage:

  • Check your home breakers
  • See if your neighbors have power

If your breakers are on and others nearby also have no power, continue to Step 3.

Step 3: Check the Outage Map

Visit the Outage Map to see if your area is affected.

 If no outage is shown:

  • Text OUT to 512-930-8400 to report it
  • Text STATUS to 512-930-8400 to check for updates

Your phone number must be linked to your utility account.

Step 4: Report the Outage

If you are a Georgetown Electric Utility customer and no outage is listed:

  • Text OUT to 512-930-8400 to report
  • Or call 512-930-3640 and press 1 to speak with our automated system

Make sure your number is connected to your utility account for faster service.
