Tales on the Trails: A StoryWalk Adventure

Overview:

Tales on the Trails is a StoryWalk, which is a deconstructed storybook displayed along a trail that encourages reading through movement. To enjoy the story, simply walk the path and read each page as you go. This free, public event is a joint project from the Friends of Georgetown Parks and Recreation and the Friends of the Georgetown Public Library.

Details at a Glance:

  • What: A StoryWalk®—read a story, one page at a time, while walking outdoors

  • Where: Randy Morrow Trail (walk east to west)

  • Distance: Half-mile round trip

  • Books change throughout the year to keep the experience fresh

  • Free and open to the public, great for all ages

  • Presented by: Friends of Parks & Recreation & Friends of the Library
