Which Tier Am I In for Solid Waste Collection?

Overview

Garbage service in the Georgetown area is provided by Texas Disposal Systems (TDS). Service tier and rates vary based on location. There are four tiers:

Tier 1: Customers within the City of Georgetown city limits
Tier 2: Customers within a Municipal Utility District (MUD) with a TDS contract
Tier 3: Customers within a MUD without a TDS contract
Tier 4: Customers in the ETJ (extraterritorial jurisdiction) and not in a MUD

Parkside at Mayfield Ranch & Highlands at Mayfield Ranch Information

Parkside at Mayfield Ranch and Highlands at Mayfield Ranch are located within MUDs that contract directly with Texas Disposal Systems (TDS). Services and eligibility differ from standard City services.

Parkside at Mayfield Ranch

Trash cart plus 3 bags collected weekly
Cart-only recycling collected every other week
12 bulky pickups per year
Brush must be bundled, weigh no more than 30 pounds, be no longer than 4 feet, and limbs no larger than 4 inches in diameter
Cannot participate in Household Hazardous Waste events
Cannot participate in City storm debris pickup
Extra cart requests must go through the HOA

Highlands at Mayfield Ranch

Trash cart plus 3 bags collected weekly
Cart-only recycling collected every other week
1 bulky pickup per month
Brush must be bundled, weigh no more than 30 pounds, be no longer than 4 feet, and limbs no larger than 4 inches in diameter
Cannot participate in Household Hazardous Waste events
Cannot participate in City storm debris pickup

Garbage Rates

Garbage rates are determined by the HOA
Sewer and garbage charges are combined into the sewer rate
MUDs contract directly with TDS
The city bills on the MUD’s behalf and passes revenue to the MUD
Service is provided by TDS Austin at 844-873-7734
