Natural gas and propane service depends on where you live in Georgetown. Some homes have natural gas service, while others use propane delivered to an on-site tank. Utility availability varies by neighborhood and service area.

Finding Your Gas or Propane Provider

Natural gas and propane service is not provided by the City of Georgetown.

If you are moving to a new home or need to start service, first find out which type of fuel your property uses:

• Natural gas is delivered through underground pipelines.

• Propane is stored in a tank on your property and is delivered by a propane company when needed.

The provider available to your home depends on your location. Not every neighborhood has natural gas service, and some areas rely on propane instead.

If you are unsure which provider serves your address:

• Ask your builder, property manager, or landlord.

• Check your closing documents or lease information.

• Contact a local natural gas or propane provider to confirm service availability for your address.

Service availability is based on the utility infrastructure in your neighborhood and cannot be changed by the City.
