Overview
Fire Station No. 8 is a planned future fire station that will serve the rapidly growing southeast area of Georgetown, including the Westinghouse Road and FM 1460 corridor.
The station is part of the City's long-term plan to expand fire and emergency response services as Georgetown continues to grow.
Project Status
Fire Station No. 8 is currently in contract negotiations.
The design contract has not been finalized and must be approved by the Georgetown City Council before design work can begin. The project is currently expected to be presented to the City Council at the August 25 meeting.
If the contract is approved by the City Council, the project will move into the design phase.
