Battery Recycling in Georgetown, TX

Overview:
Georgetown residents have a few easy ways to safely recycle batteries year-round or during special events. These options help keep harmful materials out of the environment.

If you live in Georgetown, Texas, it’s important to dispose of batteries the right way. Batteries can contain materials that should not go in the regular trash, so the City offers safe and simple drop-off options.

Year-Round Drop-Off Locations
Residents can drop off batteries any time of the year at two public collection boxes:

  • Georgetown Municipal Complex (GMC)

  • Georgetown Public Library

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Events (January, May, September, November)
For larger or special types of batteries, residents can attend one of the four Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) events held each year in January, May, September, and November.

  • Registration is required

  • Events are free for eligible Georgetown solid waste customers

  • Stay in your vehicle while staff unload items
