Downtown Parking Garage – Key Information

The Austin Avenue Parking Garage is located at 502 S. Main St. in downtown Georgetown. The garage opened on Nov. 21, 2025, and added 315 parking spaces to help visitors, workers, and residents find parking downtown.

Garage Details

• 315 parking spaces available

• Four levels above ground and one level below street level

• Two elevators for easy access between floors

Parking Technology

• Green light above a space means it is open

• Red light above a space means it is taken

• An electronic sign at the garage entrance also indicates space availability. 

Parking Cost

• The City does not plan to charge for parking during the first few years

• The City may charge or limit parking during special events

• The garage may be used for ADA parking during festivals

• Future City Councils may change this policy if parking needs change

Office Space

• The building includes 4,000 square feet of office space

• Staff from the City’s Downtown and Tourism Department will work there

• The Georgetown Convention and Visitors Bureau plans to move into the building while its current offices are renovated

Public Art

• A large mural by ARCY shows a longhorn cattle drive and honors Georgetown’s history along the Chisholm Trail

• A 14-foot steel and stained-glass longhorn sculpture by Pascale Pryor is located outside the garage on Austin Avenue\
