Overview
City ordinance requires property owners to maintain their yards and lots to prevent overgrown grass and weeds. Keeping vegetation within allowed limits helps maintain neighborhood appearance, safety, and property values.
Ordinance Requirements
Grass and weeds are considered a violation of City ordinance when they exceed the following heights:

More than six (6) inches on a developed lot

More than twelve (12) inches on an undeveloped lot
Property owners are responsible for maintaining all areas of their property, including the space from the property line to the curb, free of tall weeds, grass, brush, or other unsightly vegetation.
