How can I get additional medical assistance during an emergency?

State of Texas Emergency Assistance Registry (STEAR)

Overview

The State of Texas Emergency Assistance Registry (STEAR) is a free, voluntary program that helps local emergency planners and first responders better understand and prepare for the needs of individuals who may require additional assistance during an emergency or disaster.

About STEAR

Do you or someone you know need extra assistance during an emergency event? STEAR allows individuals to share important information with local emergency management officials to support emergency planning and response efforts. Texas communities use STEAR information in different ways based on available resources. Registering with STEAR does not guarantee services during an emergency, and assistance varies by community. For more information on how STEAR is used locally, contact your local emergency management office.
